Inactive reserve 1963-1971; Entered active duty as a Major in the USAF Medical Corp, 1971-1973 stationed at March AFB, Riverside, CA. I was Chief of Otorhinolaryngology Department overseeing that Reginal Hospital as well as Vandenberg AFB, Norton AFB and Nellis AFB. Left active duty and remained in reserve status for a five more years.  Now reside in Montana.

1958 to 1962. Served in Turkey with a cold war nuclear strike force aimed at The Soviet Union. Rotated through France, England, Scotland, French Morroco (Casablanca) Libya,(Tripoli) Africa, Aviano Italy, Madrid and Seville Spain and the Azores Islands as relief squadrons.

US Navy -1963 -1971.  Active Duty, three and one half years in the Civil Engineer Corps as the Public Works Officer at the Naval Observatory in Washington D.C.  Three years in the Reserves with the Seabees. Summer training at Camp Pendleton.  Learned why they don't allow civilians to have fully automatic M16s.

I was stationed at MCAS El Toro, Santa Ana, CA for the greatest part of my duty. Member of the Crash Crew. We took care of the aircraft crashes and resuce operations.  Left the service Dec. 10, 1961 ... however, "Once a Marine, Always a Marine"

Hired by FAA in 1968 as a GS-6 at Van Nuys Airport, CA.  Promoted to GS-12 within 15 months. Vice-Chairman of PATCO (Southwest Region) while at Long Beach Airport, CA.

Served at a small secret WWII German air base by Bad Windsheim, Germany (near the famous old walled city of Rothenburg ob der Tauber)
Also spent time at Ft. Bliss, El Paso, TX, Ft. Rucker, Dothan, AL, Ft. Eustis, and Newport News, VA

On active duty, I was Chief Engineer on the USS Kearsarge and commanded three Naval Reserve Centers. I completed my 20 years of active service in 1987 and retired to teach NJROTC in Mississippi and NY
